Thomas Wimmer

“In my school days I started to be politically involved as an active member of the YPAC and the local youth parliament and found pleasure in helping to shape my home and discussing political ideas with local and (inter)national politicians. The sustainable use of nature and especially the mountains is very close to my heart, but also the further development of the alpine regions to remain attractive for young people/families and employers is important to me.
My train journey within the Youth Alpine Interrail project aroused in me the interest to work especially for sustainable public transport also in rural areas.
I wish to discuss ideas with like-minded young adults in the EUSALP Youth Council and then present them to politicians from all levels, thus doing my part to ensure that the Alps remain an attractive place to live for my and future generations.”
