“I am excited about the formation of the EUSALP Youth Council, because it will give young people an opportunity to discuss current issues (about the Alps), to better understand the environment in which we live in and to be more active in processes that shape our surrounding. I enjoy the many advantages the Alps have to offer (especially the mountains – for hiking and skiing, the rivers and lakes), in that regards I feel strongly about the preservation of these ecosystems. On a more profesional note, regarding my studies, I am fascinated with the peatbog environments, which is also one of the topics discussed with EUSALP. I would like to join the Youth Council, because I would like to dedicate my time to discusion and taking action, but I also feel that it is a wonderful oportunity for me to learn many new things, discover more the Alps and to meet interesting people.”
