Last week the @_eusalp Youth Council joined a conference organized by the Swiss presidency 2023🇨🇭🏔️ The young participants were able to discover more about the topic of water thanks to the conference discussions and a field visit in the lovely village of @engadinscuolzernez 💧🇨🇭🏔️

Now the EUSALP Y.C will work on a document in order to give their recommendations on this key topic for the Alpine region 📑✍️

▫️Tomorrow is the last jour fixe meeting for many members of the @_eusalp Youth Council, who have played a huge role in building this participatory body for young people.🫶👏

▪️The new youth council will then be formalized at the next EUSALP EB meeting in Scuol.

▫️This Friday few members of the Youth Council will participate in the EUSALP Conference on Water and/in transition. This event will be broadcasted live.💧🏔️

▪️Finally, a webinar on youth participation in EUSALP is scheduled for Thursday June 22, from 5:30 to 7pm. To register, click on the link in the bio ✅⬆️

Today we end our presentation of the members of the youth council who have completed 2 years of mandates. 👏
It's Leandra's turn, she represented Tyrol and Austria in the @_eusalp Youth Council.🇦🇹🇪🇺

Two weeks ago we celebrated her 20th birthday together in Strasbourg. 🥳🎂
It was a great moment of sharing and happiness which is part of the experience of joining the youth council.

When you think about it, Leandra joined the youth council when she was 18 years old. She was one of the youngest and therefore one of the bravest. 2 years at this age is a lot! A lot happens and you grow up twice as fast.

She still has many things to discover and many causes to defend…
We hope that after her 2 years, this experience has brought her beautiful memories and competences for the continuation of her commitments.

Last weekend the members of the EUSALP youth council were in Strasbourg for an internal meeting. 🇪🇺🇫🇷

They had the chance to meet the members of the regional youth council of Grand-Est 🥨🍺Their projects are really interesting and their organization can be a good inspiration for the participation of young people in @_eusalp

After 2 years of existence, the EUSALP youth council has always had the will to create links with other youth initiatives in the Alps, but also in Europe. 🔗🏔️

That's why we already have exchanges with the @ciprayouthcouncil or the @ypac.official members.
This must continue and we must converge our ideas and our means to reach new summits in terms of youth participation.😍💪🏼

Let’s introduce Aaron Okon who represented Germany and the Baden-Württemberg region during the last 2 years in the @eusalp Y.C 🇩🇪 ⛰️

Aaron is the creative one in the team. He always creates while staying connected to digital tools. That's his thing! Throughout his mandate Aaron has been faithful to his commitment to the EUSALP youth council. He has participated in many of the youth council meetings and has been able to contribute in his own way. All we can wish him is that he keeps his motivation to be a German, European and Alpine citizen! 🇪🇺🏔️🇩🇪

Let’s introduce Tadej Jezernik who represented Slovenia during the last 2 years in the @_eusalp Y.C 🇸🇮⛰️

Tadej's expertise on international relations and the functioning of our institutions was invaluable for the start of the youth council. 👨‍🎓👍🏻

Despite his many commitments, he was able to keep the link with the activities of the youth council. To give us news and participate at his own pace. This is really important for us, as we are aware that sometimes young councillors have other priorities during their mandate. 😊

Maxime is always on the move. He seizes every opportunity that crosses his path. Especially those related to mobility, transport and cross-border cooperation. He is really good at this and will surely have an impact in this field when he graduates. 🚃👨‍🎓

Finally, Maxime will certainly take a lot of memories and skills from his experience in the EUSALP Youth Council. It is certain that he will keep an eye on the further activities of EUSALP Youth 👀🏔️🇪🇺

Today two members of the @_eusalp Youth Council participate in the Executive Board of the Strategy in Fribourg. 🇨🇭🏔️🇪🇺

The young people had received the working documents in advance so that they could contribute to the discussions. They will also react to the method proposed by the Swiss presidency in order to involve them as effectively as possible during the year of the Swiss Presidency 2023. 📑📚✒️

All the members of the Youth Council will be able to discuss this at the meeting in Strasbourg in April. 🔜🚞🇫🇷

Let’s introduce Timothy Sung who represented Austria and the Salzburg region during the last 2 years in the @eusalp Y.C 🇦🇹⛰️

After 2 years, we got to know Tim a little better, but we would like to know more about him because we can quickly see how sincere and open to others he is. 👏😊

Thanks to his commitment, he has created more concrete and direct links with the projects of the @interregeurope Alpine Space programme. 🇪🇺🏔️
He also proofread and wrote many of our texts because his English is much better than all of us put together. 💂‍♀️🇬🇧

He always has a smile on his face and we hope he will not lose it! 😉
