Youth consultation
EUSALP Youth camp 2020

Moving mountains together

Based on the idea of the participants during the youth.shaping.EUSALP workshop, the first EUSALP Youth Camp was supposed to take place during the French presidency, during the summer 2020 in Jura. The unpredictable situation, due to the COVID-19, forces us to adapt our initial plan. Instead of the original idea of a Camp (which would have been promoted largely and open to a great variety of participants) we suggest to organise a meeting with already involved young alpine citizens (YPAC, CYC, Pitch your project, YOALIN, Youth council of the 3 French presidency regions, etc.) in order to support them in their involvement.

Before proposing this new format, we would like to get your feedback about this idea. It would be very helpful if you could give us your opinion by filling out this form.

We suggest that such an event could aim at:

  • Developing project ideas and preparing future activities (e.g. Pitch your project, future youth camp, contribution for the AlpWeek & EUSALP annual forum)
  • Giving the opportunity to meet other young people from the Alps and to discuss with them themes that are transversal to youth and the mountains
  • Further developing youth participation options within EUSALP, for e.g. as youth ambassadors in a EUSALP Youth council
  • Familiarise with EUSALP, create a feeling of belonging with the Alps and bring new ideas and a different perspective on EUSALP topics and issues
