Sarina Caduff

My home – the mountain region – is very close to my heart and I am passionately committed to its continued existence. Growing up in a small mountain village in the canton of Graubünden (Switzerland), I see the challenges that alpine regions face every day. Extreme weather situations, faltering economic development and, above all, emigration and the resulting population decline are just some of the problems that need to be addressed in the near future. Being part of the EUSALP Youth Council would allow me to exchange ideas with young people from other mountain regions and would probably give me some valuable impulses to continue advocating for the mountain area in the future. I would like to contribute to ensuring that future generations can also live an attractive life in the mountain region by having access to good jobs, attractive mobility and digitalization services, but also to high-quality educational opportunities, among other things.
